"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
Henry S, Haskins
The Mixed PROBUS Club of Burlington was founded for men and women in 2019 and meets at the Art Gallery of Burlington on Lakeshore Road on the fourth Wednesday of the month (except during July and August). There is no dress code or age restrictions.
The Club provides members with a friendly environment to meet, discuss events and listen to guest speakers. Besides being primarily retired or semi-retired from their profession or business and being compatible with other members, there is no denominational, sectarian, political, philosophical, or age requirements.
Monthly Guest Speakers arranged by the Speaker Chair comprise an eclectic mix of local, current and entertaining topics.
There are over 15 social groups in our Burlington Club ranging from Armchair Travel, Wine and Dine, Dining Out, Nine and Dine(golf), Euchre, Biking, Photography etc. More information on our social gatherings and special events can be found in the Activities Section. Everyone is welcome to join in! Expressions of interest in membership and a prior visit to a meeting as a guest is most welcome. If this interests you, contact the membership chair in the form below.
WHO WE ARE
The Mixed PROBUS Club of Burlington features many events throughout the year including monthly meetings with informative guest speakers. Other events have included car rallies, trips to major theatrical productions, Christmas luncheons. lawn bowling and much more.
Retirement is much more than a time to enjoy the coffee
Retirement is a time to enjoy things you never could before.
The Mixed PROBUS Club of Burlington offers numerous activities to its members - all designed to stimulate the mind or the body. We encourage members to participate in our wide-ranging variety of activities and if they have a passion for something not included in our offerings, to poll fellow members to see if there is enough interest to form a new activity group.
To learn more about our club activities, select Club Activities from the main menu at the top of this page.
