Guest Speakers: Hank DeBruin & Tanya McCready-DeBruin, B.Sc.(Eng), P.Eng

In 1999, Hank & Tanya walked away from their jobs and life in suburbia with their 7 huskies and 4 cats to chase a dream. They moved to the wilderness of Haliburton, Ontario and opened a dogsled tour company to allow guests from around the globe to experience the incredible world of dogsledding.

The second part of the dream was to build a long distance race team to compete in “The Last Great Race” - Alaska’s 1000 mile Iditarod. Fewer people have reached its finish line than summited Mount Everest.
